It was a winner of an outfit. The Countess of Wessex always brings her A game to Royal Ascot and this year was no different. Sophie gave us several stunning looks at the race meeting but this coral and cream confection was a favourite and won the poll at a canter.

The wow of a wardrobe choice appeared on day three of Royal Ascot, Ladies Day. That means hats and while the cut off top and Fifties style skirt are super stylish, it's the topper that really crowns this outfit.

The combination of colours (summer and then some) and the cut of the cloth (that skirt is superb) all help but there's no getting past that hat. It could have overwhelmed but Sophie got the whole look just right. No wonder it's a favourite.
There was another Royal Ascot outfit in second place as the Duchess of Cambridge's cream dress and hat, chosen for her debut at this famous event, scored well in the poll. Light, airy and pretty, it's a perfect debut outfit for a duchess at Ascot.

But not far behind, and taking part in a three way tie. were a trio of summer outfits starting with Princess Charlene of Monaco's glittering gold gala gown

More summer sparkles with Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden's white and silver dress chosen for the Polar Music Awards.

Mary was on trend with statement sleeves and a boho feel to her white dress chosen for a ship launch but it wasn't enough to win the poll - her cocktail time dress tied with Victoria and Charlene. They were a long way behind. This week, Sophie, stole the style crown.
