Prince Harry in Leeds: the photo album

Prince Harry has spent two days in Leeds with mental health issues, sport and sweets all on the agenda. This was like a condensed version of the rest of his life, played out over forty eight hours, as the fifth in line to the throne ticked all the royal boxes. He gave speeches, he talked local issues, he lost the jacket for some sport and he ended up being photographed in one of those white hygiene hat, a particular royal badge of honour. Here's a look back at what Harry got up to in Leeds, in photos....

Given Prince Harry's involvement in mental health issues in the past year, it was no surprise that the first event in his diary on July 6th 2017 was a charity fair and panel looking at that very issue. Hosted by the Leeds Community Foundation, 'Leeds Leads: Encouraging Happy Young Minds' involved projects and organisations from across the city working on mental health issues with young people. Harry gave a speech in which he warned against using phones and social media too much and asked people instead to take time to process their thoughts.

Then it was time for sport as Harry headed to Headingley Carnegie Stadium, home of the Leeds Rhinos, for rugby practice. The prince, who is now patron of the Rugby Football League, saw the Sky Try Rugby League Festival in action. It's a seven year programme aiming to get 700,000 more children into the sport. Cue tie free prince in action.

Day two , July 7th 2017, began with visits supporting another of the charities of which Harry is patron, Well Child. The prince spent time at home with five year old Oliver who has had his garden transformed through Well Child's Helping Hands project, the 300th the charity has organised.

Harry then visited Leeds Children's Hospital where he met Well Child nurse, Helen Tooby, who provides specialist support to help parents take poorly children home sooner. He also met some of the children and mums and dads she has helped.

The final stop involved a royal ritual that Harry just hasn't done enough of. Putting on a hat to tour a food factory. We got the white pork pie look from this handsome prince as he visited the Haribo factory which has brought hundreds of jobs to the local area. He also did a really good job of not eating all the sweets - we all know that once you start, you can't stop. Two busy days, lots of classic images as Prince Harry visited Leeds.
