The youngest grandchild of the Queen of Denmark reaches a big milestone today. Athena Marguerite Francoise Marie is five on January 24th and the daughter of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie is celebrating with photos taken by her proud mum.

Athena was born on January 24th 2012 at the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, the second child of Joachim and Marie whose son, Henrik, was born in 2009. Joachim also has two sons, Nikolai and Felix, from his first marriage to Alexandra Manley. Athena, tenth in line to the throne of Denmark since birth, has always been a bit of a double of her mum but as she hits five, there's also more of a hint of granny Margrethe about her as well. The littlest princess of Denmark is growing up fast.
