The Queen attends church at Sandringham

The Queen has attended church at Sandringham - her first public appearance since December when she developed a heavy cold and had to rest.

The Queen arrived at church by car with the Duke of Edinburgh at her side. She has missed the last two Sundays, including Christmas Day, after becoming ill and remaining indoors to aid her recovery.

There has been concern over the Queen's health since she delayed her departure from London for Norfolk by a day because of her cold. Her appearance at church has made headlines around the world, with huge interest in the Queen's wellbeing. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also attended today's service.
