Vincent and Josephine turn six

Now I am six, I am....Denmark's royal twins have reached the special age of six. Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine's celebrations on January 8th began with photos to mark the event.

The black and white images, taken by Pernille Rohde of PR Foto, show the fourth and fifth in line to the Danish throne growing up fast. The calm of the joint portrait is replaced by a barely contained cheekiness in the individual photos which chart the latest milestone in their royal lives.

Vincent Frederik Minik Alexander was born at 10.30am local time on January 8th 2011 at the Righospitalet in Copenhagen. His twin sister, Josephine Sophia Ivalo Mathilda, was born 26 minutes later. There were gun salutes to mark their arrival and the twins were christened on April 14th 2011. Vincent and Josephine live with their parents, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, and their older siblings, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, in Copenhagen where the birthday party is due to get started later as Denmark's royal twins turn six.
