George gives Kate the run around

He was in the arms of daddy for his historic appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at Trooping the Colour this weekend but a future king needs to stretch his legs and the chance came for Prince George just 24 hours after his first big appearance at Buck House. The future king went to the polo with his mum and dad and chaos ensued. A rare moment of calm made it onto the front of one of the papers today but make no mistake, this was an energetic appearance by George of Cambridge.

Kate tried to keep up with her almost two year old son just six weeks after giving birth to his little sister but it was hard work as George made use of all the facilities.

It was a real family affair as proud grandad, Prince Charles, was also there.

Princess Charlotte was at home doing what six weeks old do best - either eating or sleeping - but the Queen's other four great grandchildren were all present with Savannah and Isla Phillips accompanying their parents, Peter and Autumn, while Mia Tindall was there with her mum and dad, Mike and Zara.

 Oh, and Harry came too.

Along with his brother he was playing polo - no one really cared about that bit, there was far too much other family stuff going on. But here they are anyway....

But it was George who stole the show, again, from just about everyone else. Mum Kate might have shown she's already back on fighting form after having Charlotte but she needed to be as her little boy really gave her the run around - and she seemed to love every second of it.
