The return of Kate

The Duchess is back. Exactly six weeks after she gave birth to her second child, Kate of Cambridge will reappear in public as she joins other members of the Royal Family at Trooping the Colour. Today is all about the Queen who marks her official birthday but it's a good guess that all eyes will be on barouche number 1 as the parade gets under way for a glimpse of the Duchess of Cambridge.

The Duchess of Cambridge will make her first public appearance since the birth of Princess Charlotte at Trooping the Colour 2015

Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Duchess would be present late last night. Her husband, Prince William, will take part in the Trooping while Kate will be in the royal procession and then will appear on the balcony with the rest of the royals afterwards. It's not yet clear whether Prince George, now almost two, will be seen on the balcony - his father was a regular at this event from a very early age in the arms of his parents.

Kate was behind the cameras last week to take snaps of her children for Princess Charlotte's first official photos. She will be back in front of the lens later today

Whether or not George makes an appearance it's pretty certain that the first glimpse of Kate since her super fast delivery of the spare to the throne will get everyone talking. She'll have a big hat on and it's perhaps hats off to this duchess who is prepared to take on the world's media just six weeks after having a baby.
