Prince Alexander of Sweden's official christening photos

The official portraits marking the christening of Prince Alexander of Sweden have been released. The photos, taken by Matthias Edwall, add another chapter to the royal story of the littlest prince in the House of Bernadotte.

Alexander was christened on September 9th 2016 in the Chapel of the Drottningholm Palace with his family around him. The images have all the formality of royal portraits and all the happiness of a special day for a little boy and his nearest and dearest.

Alexander is shown in a series of photos with his parents. As well as an image of the family of three, they are seen with Alexander's grandparents, his godparents and finally with his aunties.

Alexander Erik Hubertus Bertil of Sweden, Duke of Sodermanland was born on April 19th in Stockholm, the first child of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia who married in June 2015. Alexander is fifth in line to the throne of Sweden.
