Start as you mean to go on. And that's just what the royal women of Europe have done as autumn gets under way. This week's regal style has been about as on trend as it comes with four stand out looks to get the season started. Here's this week's Royal Wardrobe (and there's more on trend royal fashion on a special post all about Prince Alexander's christening).

Princess Charlene of Monaco gave everyone a lesson in winter florals with a delicate dress that just gets better with every look. mid length skirt is bang on while the pretty mix of colours in the flower print is perfection personified. Add in simple black shoes and you have a look that is classic and trend setting all at the same time.

Autumn 2016 is all about pops of really bright colours so Queen Rania goes straight to the top of the style class with this dress worn for a celebrity fight night in aid of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation in Rome. We've got bright red and solid blue here with a fashion forward mid length skirt. And ruffles. Yes, you need ruffles this autumn and here's Rania's take on them, ready to go.

If you're doing trousers this autumn, they had better be a wide leg version and Queen Sonja was more than ready as she stepped out on day two of her visit to Finland this week. White wide leg trousers is about as on trend as it gets this autumn. Did anyone mention that THE colour of the season is bright pink? Sonja storms ahead in the style stakes here .

Floral? Bright colours? Fifties style skirts? Queen Letizia wraps up all of the above and more with this repeat outfit that has been seen several times before but might never have been more on trend than it was this week. The big skirt, the embellished flower print, the in your face blue and green are about as hot as it gets right now. What else do you expect from Letizia?
