The Royal Wardrobe, Day Two of Royal Visit India

Day two of Royal Visit India brought two more new outfits for Kate which took us from pale and interesting to monochrome magic. And who thought we'd say this  but there was a pair of killer heels from the Duchess of Cambridge. This is the Royal Wardrobe, Royal Visit India, part two.

Kate started the day in a cream Emilia Wickstead dress with flared skirt and prim collar. It wasn't the most stand out look ever but it had a lot of hard work to do in just a few hours.

Kate's dress had to work at a lot of serious events so although it's simple, it is rather appropriate for what she was up to  - a visit to the national monument at India Gate and time at the museum dedicated to Gandhi.  The pockets might have been better left off.

It might also have needed weights as the mid length skirt caught, at one point, in a breeze but the duchess rescued it before it turned into a major moment.

The highlight of this outfit for me was the Rupert Sanderson pumps which were totally fabulous and added a sharp and chic note.

The evening brought a gala dress to remember as Kate stepped out in black and white for a party for the Queen's 90th birthday.

The two piece, by Alice Temperley, is white with black embellishments and everything about it works from the length to the neat little overlay effect on the top to the peep toe heels.

The whole outfit is a total winner and hopefully will see Kate through some big evening events in years to come. It's a dress to remember and then some. Roll on day three.
